Bring them in. We can fill most prescriptions in 15 minutes or less.
If we don’t have it, we will fill it when it comes in and deliver to you FREE.

Note: We can transfer your prescriptions should you wish to make us your pharmacy.

OVER-THE-COUNTER PRODUCTS

We not only have a comprehensive range of over-the-counter products but we also feature diabetic, home health care, and compression therapy products. You’ll also find such specialized items as mobility aids and for those who need it, a self-use blood pressure monitor. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, ask one of our pharmacists and they will help you.

OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDS ASSISTANCE

Not sure of what cough medicine, pain ointment, or allergy pills would be best for you?
Just ask one of our pharmacists. They will guide you through the many choices of products until you find the right one for you. Have questions on usage? They’ll answer all your questions.

CREATING CUSTOM MEDICATIONS

The KW Pharmacy was one of the first and is one of the only a few pharmacies in the Region that has an onsite compounding laboratory and the expertise to create custom medications. What could this mean for you?

Your doctor or specialist can prescribe a custom medication if:

  • There is no commercially available product.
    You may require medication that is not manufactured commercially. We can make it for you in our onsite compounding laboratory.
  • You have severe side effects from a medication.
    We can create a formula and specific dosage to help alleviate this and enable you to take the medication you need.
  • Your current medication is discontinued.
    We can custom make the medication in the dosage you require so that you can continue to benefit from it.
  • You have difficulty taking of your current medication.
    In many cases, the size of the tablet is too large for you to swallow or the current form makes taking your medication difficult. Through compounding, we can provide your medication in a different form that will make it easier to take. Options could include capsules, smaller tablets, creams, lotions, solutions, or suspensions. Compounding can also provide new dosage forms such as lollipops and lozenges.
  • The taste of your medication discourages you from taking it.
    We can often provide you with a flavour that is more to your liking.

FREE MEDSCHECK PROGRAM

Find out if you qualify for MedsCheck. It’s a medication consultation program that evaluates your medications to maximize effectiveness and simply complicated medication therapy. Once qualifying criteria is established specifically for you, the best type of MedsCheck will be selected.

Through regular consultations with you and one of our pharmacists, a complete medication profile will be developed and a level of satisfaction will be established with your particular therapy. All of this will be shared with your family doctor or specialist to help improve your medication therapy and quickly resolve any issues.

In addition, the notes taken and recommendations made are shared with your doctor so that your medication therapy can be improved and any issues can be resolved quickly. Even better, it’s absolutely FREE.

 

SPECIAL COMPLIANCE PACKAGING

Do you have issues opening safety vials or plastic blister packs to get at your medication? Let one of our pharmacists know and they will place your medications in special compliance packaging. This will make it easier and more convenient to take your prescriptions.

 

FREE MEDICATION DISPOSAL

Do you have old prescriptions that you don’t use any more?  Leftover pills or other medications?
Don’t flush them down the sink or toilet. Don’t throw them in the garbage. This causes contamination and is harmful to the environment.

Instead, bring them in to us and we will dispose of you old or unused medications in a proper, safe manner. Together, we can help protect the environment from unnecessary contamination. And yes, it’s all FREE of charge to do so.

 

NO CHARGE DELIVERY

If you are unable to come in to the pharmacy to pick up your prescription(s), let us know. We could arrange for a no-charge delivery service to your residence on an as-needed basis. We can dispense any new prescriptions and have them ready for your next delivery.
